Lavender Sunset Picnic Cooking Class

Saturday, July 25th | 6pm - 8pm

In the golden glow of a summer evening, gather for a hands‑on dinner workshop that feels like a sunset picnic - fresh ingredients, relaxed cooking, and a stroll to pick lavender and seasonal wildflowers.

You’ll begin by mixing a bright, herb‑kissed lavender chicken salad and pairing it with homemade bread for a simple, delicious sammie.

Next, you’ll toss together a Peach + Lavender Quinoa Salad - sweet, floral, and refreshing - layering it into a mason jar for a charming, ready‑to‑enjoy presentation.

You’ll finish with Dubai‑style Chocolate Dates, blending pistachio crema with crisp, golden kataifi, tucking it into plump dates, and drizzling chocolate over the top for an indulgent bite.

After the workshop, wander the fields to gather a fresh bundle of lavender and wildflowers as the sun fades.

Summer Tea & Tarts Cooking Class

Saturday, August 15th | 10am - 12pm

Join us for a relaxing summer morning making your own key lime tart with strawberry topping and a lavender-infused shortcrust. Enjoy Earl Grey tea or London Fog (Earl Grey Tea with Honey, Milk and Lavender) while you make a 4” round tart! While your tart crust bakes, wander the lavender and wildflower fields to pick your own bundle of flowers to take home.

Class led by Columbus-based home baker Cassandra Mendez of Tartes du Soleil. This is one morning you’ll want to wake up early for!

Refreshing raspberry lavender lemonade and water will also be provided.

Feel free to bring your own snacks and beverages to enjoy during class!

Lavender Pumpkin Scones & Cold Brew Coffee Cooking Class

Saturday, August 29th | 10am - 12pm

It’s that time of year when you’re daydreaming of crips fall mornings — which is the perfect time to give yourself a little taste of autumn with our Lavender Pumpkin Scone & Cold Brew Cooking Class!

Join us for a morning of making 2 delicious scones, using fresh culinary lavender from right here at Cedar Ridge Trails. You’ll also be able to pour yourself an ice-cold glass of coffee with cream and lavender simple syrup. While your scones bake, wander the lavender and wildflower fields to pick your own bundle of flowers to take home.

Afternoon Tea on the Patio

Saturday, September 19th | 2pm - 4pm

A late‑summer afternoon on the covered patio of our barn overlooking the flower fields sets the scene for a charming tea‑time experience led by Chef Sammy Trick of All My Friends Are Flowers. You’ll settle in for a leisurely garden‑style gathering filled with delicate bites, fragrant teas, and a stroll through the wildflower fields to build your own bouquet.

You’ll be welcomed to a spread of classic tea‑party favorites with a seasonal twist - herbed cucumber sandwiches, curried chicken tea sandwiches, sweet and savory scones with homemade jams and clotted cream, petite tarts, and layered cakes. A selection of teas will be available to sip throughout the afternoon, along with lavender lemonade.

As you enjoy the breeze and the late‑summer light, we’ll guide you through creating your own hand‑picked bouquet, choosing stems directly from the lavender fields and seasonal wildflower patches.

You’ll leave with a full heart, a handmade bouquet, and the memory of a slow, beautiful afternoon among the flowers.

Sourdough and Lavender Honey Butter Workshop

Saturday, October 3rd at 10am

With When I Rise Baking Co.

Join us on the covered patio of our barn overlooking the fields to learn how to make sourdough bread with lavender honey butter! This workshop is for beginners and will teach you everything you need to know to get started making your own sourdough bread at home!

Includes:

  • Sourdough instruction guide

  • Sourdough starter

  • Ingredients to create your own dough in class (to take home and bake)

  • A starter sourdough kit with tools necessary for baking sourdough from home

  • Ingredients to make your own lavender honey butter in class

  • Lavender Lemonade and water

  • Exclusive access to an online community where you can ask questions and learn from others as you continue to grow as a baker
